Day 01: Arrive Paro – Thimphu
Arrive in Paro with scenic views of the Himalayas.
Meet your Bhutan Holidays representative at the airport.
After lunch, visit:
Ta Dzong Museum – religious relics, art, and Bhutanese history.
Rimpong Dzong – includes paintings of Milarepa and showcases traditional Bhutanese architecture.
Drive to Thimphu (approx. 1.5 hrs), following the Pachu River.
Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing
National Memorial Chorten – monument for world peace and in memory of the Third King.
Changangkha Temple – 12th-century spiritual site.
National Library – scriptures dating back to the 8th century.
Tashichhodzong – houses ministries and monastic body.
If visiting during the weekend, explore the Thimphu Weekend Market (Fri–Sun).
Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 03: Thimphu – Punakha
Drive over Dochu-La Pass (3,100m) – enjoy panoramic views of Himalayan peaks.
Continue to Punakha (approx. 3 hrs), passing rhododendron forests.
Visit:
Punakha Dzong – “Palace of Great Happiness” at the river confluence.
Overnight in Punakha / Wangduephodrang.
Day 04: Punakha
Morning:
Drive to Yabesa and hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten.
Picnic lunch by the riverside.
Afternoon:
Visit Wangduephodrang Dzong – historically significant fortress.
Walk to Chimi Lhakhang – temple of Drukpa Kuenley, known as the Divine Madman.
Overnight in Punakha / Wangduephodrang.
Day 05: Punakha – Thimphu – Haa
Drive back to Thimphu.
En route, visit Semtokha Dzong – Bhutan’s oldest dzong.
Continue drive to Haa via Chelela Pass.
Enjoy views of Mt. Jumolhari, Paro, and Haa valleys.
Drive through pine forests into Haa valley.
Overnight in Haa.
Day 06: Haa – Paro
Explore Haa Valley:
Visit Lhakhang Karpo and Nagpo (white and black temples).
Walk or cycle through nearby villages (bike rental optional).
Afternoon transfer to Paro.
Overnight in Paro.
Day 07: Paro – Taktsang Monastery Hike
Morning hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest).
Optional horse ride available to the cafeteria.
Spectacular views and cultural significance.
Afternoon:
Visit Drukgyel Dzong – partially reconstructed monument of Bhutan’s victory.
On return, visit other sites in Paro valley.
Overnight in Paro.
Day 08: Depart Paro
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
Inclusions:
Airport pick-up and drop-off for international arrivals/departures.
Accommodation in three-star hotels and government-approved farmhouses (1X Double/Twin Room).
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the trip.
